In May 2025, Samsung first released a slim version of its flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Edge. However, the model did not meet the company's expectations, so the next generation, the S26 Edge, is unlikely to appear. This is reported by Newspim.

The main reason for this decision is the sales of the slim flagship. While the main models such as the S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra sold 8.28 million, 5.05 million and 12.18 million units respectively, the Galaxy S25 Edge sold only 1.31 million units.

A Samsung representative, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that the situation with the S26 Edge remains complicated, and there is no certainty that the smartphone will be released at all. However, since the development of the thin model has already been completed, it is possible that the company may still introduce it later.

Reports of the Galaxy S26 Edge cancellation have also appeared from well-known insiders. In particular, IceUniverse wrote in X that "Galaxy S26 Edge is definitely gone, 100% correct."

Another insider, OnLeaks, also responded to the report by posting a gif that read "That's true."

Despite such reports, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge has previously appeared in renders, as have other upcoming flagship devices from the South Korean company, including the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
